The 2018 Partners-in-Ministry-in–Liberia (PIMIL)’S 9TH Annual International Luncheon and Silent Auction Fundraising is on Saturday, July 21st. The event will be at St. Philip Episcopal Church, 166 Woodland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio from 12:30-3:30 p.m. The goal is to raise $6,000. The theme is “Stewards of God’s Abundance”, the Book of Common Prayer (p. 239). The format for Speaker will be a panel discussion by the delegates that went to Liberia. You don’t want to miss this! PIMIL is sponsoring 150 students, including 71 Ebola orphans. The goal is to support at least 100 Ebola orphans because, according to a recent report from Liberia from the national Coordinator of the Diompilor American Incorporated Liberia Chapter, Rev. Saa S. Blama, “A little over 150 Ebola orphans in some poor communities in urban and rural Liberia need urgent socioeconomic and educational assistance in order to achieve their dreams.” A successful fundraising will provide PIMIL the opportunity to support more Ebola orphans in school. The event is a family affair with exciting intercultural and educational activities that include Delicious American and Liberian foods, the intriguing “head wrap” for the women, exciting and competing themed baskets for Silent Auction, the International Cookie Table, and hands on experiences for the children! Tickets are $15, adults; children are free! Donations are appreciated. Make check out to: St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 30 E., College Avenue, Westerville, OH 43081. Indicate PIMIL in the Memo area. You will receive a receipt for your donation. Thank you! JOIN US!
